The first day of the Shisanyama Festival, Saturday 1 September, will be host to the very first White Star Cook-Off. The Top 5 Shisanyama Awards finalists, who are cooking at this year’s Festival, will compete for R30k in cash prizes. Each venue will prepare a lamb dish and an accompanying side dish using White Star. Highly acclaimed judges Jackie Cameron and Nardia Adams will carry out a blind tasting in order to determine the winner. Winners will be announced on stage that evening.
